DIVE

DIVE is a bold, original performance project by acclaimed artist, actress, songwriter, diver and ocean activist EM The Master. Blending sharp comedy, storytelling, music and theatre, DIVE brings the ocean to life on stage, turning complex marine issues into accessible, moving, and often hilarious performance. An ongoing project, DIVE’s mission is to spread ocean awareness, empathy and to inspire and empower individuals to take action across the globe.

Fresh off of London’s West End, premiering at Soho’s Crazy Coqs and later transferring to Charing Cross Theatre, DIVE was then invited to perform at the UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week. This production was in partnership with the High Seas Alliance, celebrating the historic ratification and entry into force of the High Seas Treaty.

DIVE has shown its power to inspire real-world impact. Audiences have reported tangible behavioral change – reducing plastic use, rethinking consumption, and engaging more deeply with ocean conservation. Each performance features expert voices from the field, including marine ecologist Dr. Max Bodmer in London and Rebecca Hubbard, Director of the High Seas Alliance, in New York.

DIVE is available for performances of all scales and formats—from single songs at topic-specific events, to short sets, to the full theatrical show. Drawing from her experiences as a diver and ocean advocate, Em continually creates work and is available for commissions tailored to your event, campaign or cause. If you’re an environmental or ocean-focused organization looking to incorporate powerful music or performance into your message, please reach out to discuss a custom piece aligned with your goals.

Most recently, Em was invited by the High Seas Alliance to write an official single for the High Seas Treaty. Em wrote Don’t Stop Now, which premiered at HSA’s celebratory event in January to great response, where she performed alongside notable speakers including the President of Palau (first country to ratify the Treaty). The single has now been produced by long-time collaborator GRAMMY-nominated Bruce Witkin and will be released later this year.

DIVE is a multi-faceted endeavor; the live show at its heart, but using other avenues to spread the message including releasing of music, creation of music videos, and recently the launch of podcast Deep Dive – An Ocean Comedy Podcast, a feel-good listen shining a spotlight on some of this planet’s most fascinating and vulnerable organisms. Co-created with marine ecologist Dr Max Bodmer, Em presents her ocean-centric songs to Max for his scientific input. Expect laugh-out-loud moments, mind-blowing marine facts, and genuinely useful, small actions you can take to help the ocean.
